Web Design!
i. Matt The Guide
An initiative led by Dr. Mary Jane VanSant, Matt The Guide Enterprises is an organization committed to animal conservation and education. This was my first contract web design project, where I created the company website in addition to designing the company logo. My coding experience primarily pertains to front-end coding as I am proficient in HTML and CSS, two languages that allow me to leverage my design experience within the web space. As the company grows, the website will grow to include virtual books, newsletters, and instructional videos. Therefore, it was vital that I build a stable foundation and infrastructure when organizing the website in order to support this media content.

ii. English 3120: Digital Writing & Publishing
Created for English 3120, Digital Writing and Publishing under the direction of Dr. Robin Wharton of the English Department at Georgia State, this website represents my initial encounter with HTML and CSS. I tried 17 different WordPress templates in a tedious attempt to find the perfect structure to house my content. This in turn allowed me to experiment with front-end coding to create a design that fit my aesthetic expectations while serving the organizational needs of a semester's worth of projects and papers.

iii. Honors English 1103
Taught by Laurah Norton of the English Department at Georgia State, this capstone project was creating for Honors English 1103 through WordPress. A common platform within the webdesign space, WordPress had limited capabilities as a result of being hosted through Georgia State. This served as the perfect challenge in designing a multi-modal website in regards to the level of customization. The design was intended to emulate a teenage journal with handwritten fonts and "taped" images on lined pages. The project itself analyzes society's concept of individualism, standards of attractiveness, and heteronormativity through the popular "That Can Do Both" memes.
